Nathan Cooper Family

Our Employee Spotlight for November is Nate Cooper. Nate lives at Harvey’s Lake and likes the fact that it is a tight-knit community. His family consists of his fiancée, Katy, his son, Nathan, and his younger sister, Kate. Their pets are Turbo the turtle, five turkeys, and some chickens. Let’s get to know more about Nathan!

AL: What is your favorite hobby? What do you enjoy about it?

Besides fixing things, it’s a toss-up between hunting and fishing; I like the peace of doing both.

AL: How long have you been with Action Lift?

I will have been with Action Lift for three years in January.

AL: Describe what your job entails.

My job involves going to customer locations to repair customer-owned equipment and our rentals.

 AL: Who inspired you to pursue the career you have today?

My father inspired me to pursue my career. He worked as an automotive technician when I was growing up.

AL: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I see myself at Action Lift, still servicing equipment!

AL: What is the best advice you can give someone who has just started their career?

Get used to the day-to-day tasks, find your groove, and stick to it!

AL: What are the most demanding challenges you’ve had at work? How did you overcome them?

The most demanding part of my job would have to be managing repair orders, customer requests, and billing parts in an orderly fashion. I handle one thing at a time and make notes of what needs to be accomplished!

AL: What’s your secret talent no one knows about?

My secret talent would have to be that I’m quite a good gardener!

AL: When you are at work, how do you motivate yourself?

To motivate myself at work, I usually listen to music.

AL: Regarding successes, which accomplishments are you most proud of?

Making sure a customer’s needs are met when I leave their facility.

AL: How have you grown professionally while on our team?

I have gotten better at talking to customers and time management.

AL: Tell me something about you that most people don’t know.

I’m a pretty good cook! Everyone’s favorite is my cheesesteak wraps.

AL: What’s your favorite movie or book, and why? My favorite movie would have to be Happy Gilmore; I love Adam Sandler movies!

AL: Which of our 30 Fundamentals is your personal favorite, and why? My personal favorite fundamental would have to be Find a Way because it fits me; I always try to find a way to accomplish the task at hand.
